A bad extension looks tacked on. A good one reads as part of the original house, with the same proportions, the same character, just more of it. On older and character homes that takes a builder who understands how the existing structure works before adding to it.

Out the back, out to the side, or up a level by raising the house and building in underneath. We work out what the block and the council will allow, then design and build it. And because we do the structural work too, the join between old and new is solid, not a weak point.
